Nilgiri mountain railway is known as world heritage site.It is built by British men in 1908.The total length of the 46km looks like a beautiful toy train.This train passes through tunnel, curves, bridges etc.

Ooty botanical garden covers a vast area of 22 hectares around the central part of Ooty. More than 650 species of flowering plants and trees the discovered there.The special cool climate of Ooty makes suitable for growing of such huge varieties of plants.Some flowers are visual marvels.In olden days we used to saw a yellow flower like the sunflower that brings by Ooty visitors.We usually kept it in a flower pot with some water in it. These yellow flowers remain undried or don’t wilt for many days. We called it as Ooty flower.
The highlight of Ooty botanical garden is a fossil tree which has an age of 20 million years old.There is Toda tribe settlement towards the top of the garden.
Stonehouse is the first bungalow of Ooty built by Jhon Sullivan in 1822.Today its known as the government arts college of Ooty.
Worship places are actually attracted by most tourists.Especially the churches, temples and mosques with antique, wall sculptures and other artistic works.The speciality of that oldest church is the stained glass windows.It makes visual delights. The famous Fernhill palace but in 1844.Its built as summer bungalow of the Maharaja of Mysore.
Dolphin’s nose is a famous viewpoint.It has its unique rock formation and its peak resembles a dolphins nose. From there we can enjoy wonderful views of tea plantations.
Rose garden in Ooty is the largest rose garden.It covers an area of 10 acres.Miniature roses, hybrid tea roses, floribunda, ramblers black & green roses are unique varieties.
