With a wonderful geographical location, only 15 km away from Sulthan Bathery, it has boundaries with Tamilnadu and Karnataka. While the sanctuary is off-limits for base camp one has to set up camp on its outskirts. The sanctuary is open from 9 am to 10 am in the morning and from 3 pm to 5 pm in the evening.

Tholpetty Reserve

Thirunelli is famous for its Mahavishnu temple which is located at a very high altitude of 900m and surrounded by the mighty Western Ghats. The place is lit up by the flowing waters of streams originating from Brahmagiri famously known as ‘Papanasini’. While at camp make it a point that you take a dip in the sacred stream for it’s known to wash away all sins!
You can even go for a short trek on the mountain ranges of Brahmagiri where one might enjoy the splendid form of nature and take in all its freshness. It’s a great place to set up your tents for camp for you may get the chance to learn about the cultures and rituals of the nearby tribes.

Kuruva Island
